COLMAN-MARVIN SCHOLARSHIP

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The Colman–Marvin Endowed Scholarship is available for full-time students attending the College of Saint Benedict, a national leading women’s Catholic liberal arts college in St. Joseph, MN. Daughters of regular, full-time Marvin employees are eligible for this four-year scholarship. The annual scholarship amount was $12,500.

Frank and Margaret Marvin and their daughters, Ginny Marvin and Katy Marvin Kirchner, established this scholarship to honor the service and commitment of Marvin employees. The scholarship is named in recognition of the significant contributions to the college of Sister Colman O’Connell, OSB, who devoted her career to the college and formed a lasting and meaningful relationship with the Marvin family.

For over a century, the College of Saint Benedict has designed programs to meet the needs and the aspirations of women, preparing them to think critically, lead courageously, and advocate passionately. Together with nearby Saint John’s University for men, the College of Saint Benedict offers a one-of-a-kind partnership of two top colleges – combining the advantages of a larger university with the smaller class sizes and personal attention of an exceptional liberal arts college.
